Lello is a very friendly, engaging, and passionate tour guide who explained all sorts of interesting tidbits and shared stories of Pompei. While the scope of the events surrounding the eruption of Vesuvius are difficult to fully grasp, Lello makes it much more relatable. We would never have come close to appreciating the site of Pompei in the way we now do if we had chosen to visit on our own.

Our tour was absolutely fantastic! Rosanna, our guide was amazing and took the time to get to know us and help us decide the content of the tour. With so much to see we wanted our boys, first time at Pompeii, to see as much as possible in the time allotted. Rosanna kept the tour personal, always interacting with us as if we were family or friends. My whole family had an amazing time and our visit to Pompeii was by far the best part of our vacation thanks to Rosanna. I cannot recommend this tour more highly. An absolutely amazing afternoon in one of the most stunning places in Italy.

I booked the private tour of Pompeii because it was my husband's #1 thing to do on our honeymoon. We had a tour with Lello himself and I cannot express how enjoyable the experience was. Both my husband and I say that it was the highlight of our trip! Lello was an archaeologist who has also been giving these tours for quite some time. It was clear that he was extremely passionate about sharing the history of this magical city with those who visit. We learned countless interesting facts that we were so excited to share with our loved ones when we returned. He was extremely charismatic with us, but his friendliness was also apparent with the other tour guides in Pompeii. You could tell that he was highly respected. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Lello. If given the opportunity to tour Pompeii again, we would not hesitate to book with him!

Absolutely marvelous experience! Have had two prior tours of Pompeii, and this one stands out drastically! He is knowledgeable, fun, and keeps you engaged. Really good with kids, they didn’t get bored at all on a three hour tour. Highly, highly, highly recommended.
