We found this tour online while staying in Cinque Terre, called same day and booked the 2 pm tour. The process was simple, they picked us up and dropped us off at the Carrara train station for no extra cost, and we had a great conversation and private informal tour of Carrara on the ride. We changed cars at the bottom of the quarry and started the 1.5 hour tour of the quarrys with a full car of other guests. The ride is a pretty intense roller coaster up rocky cliffside quarry roads, but that just added to the fun. We got a great mix of technological and political history, along with great views of the entire region and multiple big quarries. I learned a lot, got some great pictures, and a little thrill too. Highly recommend for anyone staying in the area!

Highly recommend you choose this Jeep tour over others. Our tour guide was very friendly & personable. The time length of our tour was quite long compared to others and we got to experience quite a bit including going inside the marble quarry and taking some insanely steep inclines.

We took a 1.5 hour private tour of the marble mines. It was an outstanding experience, the guide was excellent and very entertaining ! The tour was well worth the cost. Strongly recommended.

Great drive up to entrance, winding roads and dark natural tunnels, one way system, massive cave, which is square inside due to removal of, cut 25 ton blo ks of marble, 2 massive columns of marble left on either side of mountain marble cave, to hold mountain in place to avoid collapse, pianist from Bon Jovi played in cave due to fantastic acoustic, and echoes, well worth 10 euros lift into cave and guided talk, Leonardo Da Vinci got his pure white marble from here for many of his statues.
