And a very decent destination in its own right. Check out the giant church-castle on the top of the hill! Windy, cobblestone street. Cafes everywhere. Tourists stuff too. Grab a ferry to the other cinque Terrence towns from the main harbor here.

I swear this place is straight out of a fairytale. One of the most beautiful little towns I’ve ever been to. I visited Portovenere when the sun was setting. Was amazed by the views I saw throughout my walk. The town is very compact. Colorful houses on a hill next to the sea... Almost untouched little castle on a steep rock overlooking the sunset. What else could you wish for? Can’t wait to go back
