On my way to the bike rental shop I had used before, I passed Giramondo and was immediately impressed with their, friendliness, helpfulness and excellent bikes. I rented a bike that was very nice at a good price. I returned the next day to ask for a higher seat and they happily exchanged my bike for one that fit me better. I spent some time talking to the owner, Aldo, and he was delightful. Highly recommended.
The owner (Aldo) is very nice. He is very friendly and helful. Come and check this place out if you want to bike around Florence. You won’t be regret. We absolutely loved the bike trip around Florence as well as the chat with Aldo.
I rented a bike for a 24hr period for 20. I was scheduled to test drive a Ferrari in the Piazza Michelangelo so I was going to bike there. On they way to cross the bridge, the chain fell over the biggest ring into the inner hub. The high on the gear was set incorrectly probably. I tried getting the chain out but failed after 10 minutes of grease on hand experience. Later, I called the store and they gave me a new bike, and picked up the broken one as I gave the address. This could have been happy ending... The next morning I went in to return the bike and pick up my driver’s license and leave for the train station. The store was closed till 9:45 and I couldn’t get my license back which I need ed for a car rental later. I ended up missing my train to Rome and purchase another ticket for 47. I asked for a refund of my 20 rental and did reiceive it but it was unfortunate I lost an hour and half of my time and 27 after all. They were very nice and did the right things but it could have been better.
Walking into the shop there were pleanty of rentals to choose from as options. They were all well priced and we opted for the city bikes. The gentleman who owned the shop (Aldo) was helpful and welcoming making the process very comfortable, overcoming a slight language barrier of English (though he knows pleanty to get you a bike). Dropping off the bike at the end of the time was super easy, we had no issues with anything on the bikes the whole time (tires, brakes, gears, shifters all good well kept no issues) we met his daughter and some friends of his at the shop at the end of the day and were welcomed like family and invited to a glass of wine even. It was a great experience both biking and meeting his friends and family and getting recommendations on florence for the duration of our stay. 10/10 would rent again overall this bike shop is definitely the place to go in florence for any kind of bike rental (ebike, foldable, road, mountain or city bike).
The owners have amazing manners. Kind, close and friendly. The bikes are almost brand new perfect to tour the city. Very recommended.
