I restored the pipe organ in this and several other churches throughout norther Italy, 1980. The shroud was at this church in 1980. I was able to go into the shroud chamber alone, and wow...what an experience!

Quite an understated church by Italian standards. It's very peaceful. Sadly the shroud was not on display when I visited as it only available for viewing very infrequently

The centerpiece being the Church hosting the Holy Shroud has hundreds of thousands if not millions of visitors every year. Tranquil, emotional and peaceful experience. A MUST visit if visiting Turino.
