It's more than a lunch, it's an experience! We had the most fun here just waiting in line, watching the theatrics that go with this man's sandwich making expertise. Best mozarella I've ever had, and the platters are pure perfection. Grab a seat, order a wine and soak up the atmosphere. I'll admit we ate lunch here 3 out of our 5 days in Ortygia, there is just nowhere better! (Heart to you! Thank you for the memories!)

Funny and lovely show! Mr. Borderi spends all the time making jokes and telling stories, most of them in Sicilian dialect but he's so funny that you don't need to be Italian to enjoy them! Sandwiches extremely original and full of typical Sicilian food, not to mention that mozzarellas and Borderi's original \tricotta\ should be tasted by everybody. I suggest you not to miss it if you're in Rescuers and don't be afraid by the queue..it totally worth it!
Fabulous dairy and sandwich shop. We had one of their renowned everything-sandwiches which was delicious however, the real winner is the enormous platter of fresh cheeses, meats and roasted vegetables. It was absolutely divine! You also cannot beat the energy and fun atmosphere of the place. A must visit for breakfast or lunch.
The world's greatest sandwich. Really. An explosion of flavours created with ultimate attention and quality ingredients stacked like no other place. Flavours you've never tasted before from seemingly familiar foods. I'm still full 2 days later.... Be prepared to queue in a COIVD-19 incubator for about an hour however....
This was a unique experience and the best sandwich I ever had. But, to get to assist this man making them is pure magic. He seems like take out of a book, his words roll out beautifully while he prepares everything. He sings, he jokes, he give you to try one thing and the other. We had also had wine and celebrated the granpa day, met his family and found out his life story while waiting for the sandwich. The sandwich itself is a unique combination of things itself and definitely worth having.
