This attraction is a must. A mobility ticket includes the ride (28/week). If you try to escape the heat in the valley on hot summer days and you have been too often at the Lido at lake caldero this is an amazing option. Also the small hikes with all the wildflowers is worth it.

Die Bergstation kann zwar auch über die Paßstrasse erreicht werden, die alte Standseilbahn ist aber nicht nur schön, sondern bietet auch einmalige Ausblicke ins Tal.
Man muß halt ein wenig warten bis die Bahn fährt. Wir hatten das Vergnügen Reinholt Messner dort begegnet zu sein. Er stieg an der Talstation aus. Einen solch weltberühmten Bergsteiger trifft man ja nicht jeden Tag.
E' la più antica funicolare ancora in servizio in Alto Adige Fu inaugurata il 19 ottobre 1903, parte da Sant'Antonio (frazione di Caldaro) 509 m.s.l.m. e raggiunge il Passo della Mendola superando un dislivello di 854 metri in 2,37 km con una pendenza massima del 64 per cento.
Ist jetzt halt eine Station, auf der man auf die Bahn wartet. Eine Bank davor, eine Kartenautomat daneben und ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden.
