When we got here we didn't even have to pay!!! The place is huge and loaded with natural history. It's an old villa, with gardens and views, rearranged as a museum. They have many whale skeletons and loads of collection specimens of minerals!

Natural history museum with a large collection of taxidermy and mineral specimens. Also has the largest freshwater aquarium in Italy (separate admission fee, but you can get a combined ticket at a discount). All in a beautiful historic building!

A little hidden gem just outside of Pisa. When you've done the tower then pop over here with your kids for some really interesting displays and a lovely aquarium. It's not very big, but you can easily spend a few hours here and the buildings are wonderful.
