Venice was awesome and a wonderful port! Saw few cruise ships docked there that day.

Quite a busy port. Venice being the city of waters, the port makes a very important point of entry or exit. If you are cruising on Adriatic, this is surely an ideal point. Journey which starts from Venice port, gives lots of picturesque views. The views of the canals is mind blowing when watched from any of the big cruise. The facilities in the port are also world class. It’s well connected by People’s mover train, water taxi, water bus, bus, etc.
Very poor performance of this facility. No bus shuttle available within the port area and you have to walk for hours under the heat between your ship and the water shuttle or the people mover. Same on the way back ! In Rome and at a lot of other ports, the Port Authority provides this type of service. Secondly their security guards are among the rudest and less welcoming persons I have encountered during my years of travelling. I know that some venitian are fed up with tourism but one should teach them who pay for their salary even indirectly. A smile costs nothing ..... look in Croatia .......
Travel to Venice by Lunch have nice view no much rolling and pitching. Everything is ok good.
