Francois Pinault is a wonderful man. He has built two world-class modern art galleries in Venice. The other is at Palazzo Grassi in the centre, this one is way out on the farthest point of Venice. Both galleries have clever curators with themed art drawn from a collection. There are some permanent highlights Roxy's Bar is a whole weird bar recreated in the basement. On the very top floor, Belvedere, accessible by lift is a single work of art set against the backdrop of the marvel of Venice. And! One ticket gets both galleries for a year!

This is a beautiful place to take a walk. The cathedral is beautiful as well. We came here because we got some great photos of San Marco’s square and Basilica. You also have some great photo opportunities on the peninsula over looking some of the smaller Venetian islands.
