One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. First night we had no hot water at all. After a couple of calls to the front desk...the first of which were completely ignored...they eventually sent someone up to check. He put his hand under the running tap for 10 minutes before declaring there was nothing he could do about it. The next morning the water dried up entirely, at which point we were forced to use the toilet downstairs so that we could at least wash our hands afterwards. (All this, despite having an 8-year-old child who needed bathing). The afternoon of the second day we demanded to be moved to another room. To their credit, they did eventually capitulate, but not without the manager making it abundantly clear to us how seriously inconvenienced he was. I have been coming to Venice since I was a young man and I know that even the back-packers and caravan parks are able to provide basic amenities such as running water. How a supposedly 3-star hotel is incapable of providing the most basic of services is beyond me, especially given the prices they charge. I can't help but wonder what other hotels in the area think of such embarrassing and shameful service in what is an otherwise fine city.
Very nice Hotel spacious and we'll appointed Rooms with good Breakfast.
The location is literally few steps from San Marco's Square... pretty unique! The room was very nice in Venetian Style and the Receptionist were extremely kind and caring for us and our belongings. Everything was clean and fresh, breakfast is basic but abundant and considering the location also very convenient.
Older, of course, but part off the charm. Staff knew some English. Wish they had told us we would need converters to charge our phones.
This hotel was in the perfect location, right off of San Marco Square. Although it was a little older and run down (paint was peeling and the bathroom smelled like smoke) we were overall pleased. All we needed was a place to sleep as we were sightseeing during the day. Breakfast could have been better (there was not a lot of choices) but it was enough.
1. The photos make the room seems bigger and they are very tiny. You'll get more room in a cheap motel than this place. 2. The air conditioner was broken so the room was very hot and it was hard to stay comfortable. 3. There was no water pressure in the shower and only a minute or less of hot water. 4. The toilet was in the corner of the bathroom and I could not use it without awkward body adjustments. Seriously bad design. 5. The bed mattress was cheap and uncomfortable. Very hard to sleep on. Everything in the room was old and run down. 6. The tiny TV they had did not even work. 7. BED BUGS. Woke up one morning with over 20 bites matching the bites of bed bugs. Stains Bed bug excrement is a rusty red, brown, or black color. It tends to bleed into bed sheets, almost like a felt-tip pen or marker would....I had this on my pillow that same night. 8. Honestly, if it were not for the bed bugs I would have let this go. But it's too much and people need to be warned about this hotel before they make the mistake of booking it. 9. If you are in room 273 in the second hotel building you will get bed bugs. I tried to complain to the hotel but it was all brushed off because they already had my money.
For the location the price was one of the most affordable but a bit tight entrance and stairs the elevator was small too, anyways remember this is Venice so dont expect to much as long you are planning to open your wallet wide open. Overall the service was good.
