Dear team, I applied for the UK-visa Tier 2 yesterday, I paid all the fees for the visa and insurance. but as I transfered to the TLS website to book an appointment, i faced that it's impossible to book it, as all the dates are inactive (maybe due to the COVID-19 situation). could you please let me know, is this normal that I cannot choose the date? or even let me know, when the TLS center is going to restart their work, as all the offices here in Italy are open now? or even should I cancel my visa application? Excellent service, my appointment was 10:45 but I enter in 08:50....thay allow me to enter before my time....and service was very helpful, I am so happy with them......
Please do not make a mistake of leaving you passport for any kind of application you might be making because UKVI is notorious for exceeding normal processing time. Terrible immigration services where you are asked to pay for anything and everything. My EU family permit (non settlement) application was meant to take 15 working day for decision and I never heard from them for over 30 working days.
Well the overall experience was quite good, very kind and professional staff. They just took 10-15 minutes to process my application. It's been passed more than one month since i applied and i hope to get back my passport as soon as possible. Best regards!
If you arrive before your appointment time, just go there and they will let you enter. Time is not hard and fast rule, in my case I have reached a little late than my appointment time but they were kind enough to not create a problem over it. Just a suggestion; have an appointment early morning and you will get free earlier. The overall appointment takes around 30 - 60 minutes.
