Very interesting place, look old school and quite posh in lounge, room was acceptable, bathroom with shower outside, 3 bathrooms for around 10 rooms on the floor, I have never met anybody on the corridor or in the toilet. Bed quite squeaky, but comfortable. Free tea and coffee on the corridor. No anny staff around, so help yourself and enjoy :)

The good: good location (few hundred metres from leaning tower & lots of places to eat nearby), clean enough, free coffee, free WiFi (although mine wouldn't work), interesting decor. Relatively cheap. The bad: Can be noisy at times - other guests being loud in the lobby, noise from upstairs (other review mentioned the elephants stomping upstairs which is probably accurate), noise from the streets outside. Don't hope on getting a good night's sleep here. The check-in process and general lack of staff isn't ideal - if we didn't have our phones on us I'm not sure what we'd have done as we were required to call/WhatsApp to gain access. Not ideal. Overall: Good if you're on a budget and just here for 1 or 2 nights. I'd probably get a proper hotel next time though.
This would of actually been 5 stars up until my last night stay. Pro's; Self managed, easy to use access, FANTASTIC location (convenient for water top up's, toilet break's, coffee break's etc) literally 500m from the leaning tower and cathedral plus plenty of restaurants, artistic and rustic decor throughout, good coffee and tea facilities, clean shared bathroom, comfortable bed, quick WiFi, easy to communicate. AMAZING PRICE! Con's; Due to its location and I think the positioning of our room, there was a lot of noise from the busy street outside up until 3am (Saturday Night) and then loud noise of thumping footsteps from the neighbours above (Saturday Morning) and also from the corridoor when people come in and out. It says on the notice that if you're too noisy, you'll be locked out without a refund - quite ironic? If you're a light sleeper, this will probably not be ideal for you. We also arrived late around 11pm on a Friday night and my phone had died, we couldn't get in for a while because you have to call them/whatsapp when you arrive - but we had no prior information sent, so didn't know and expected somebody to be present at reception. We waited a while until another person staying let us in. I suggest give them an email prior to arrival to avoid this. (After writing this, I just found the email - so my fault I didn't check!!) Otherwise, I had a fantastic stay in Pisa and these negative points didn't effect my experience of this amazing place too much. If it wasn't so noisy for me, I think this accomdation deserves it's much reputable 8.8 rating on booking.
Loved everything about it. Clean plus good location.
Great place to stay. Excellent communication with guests. Biggest problem was the noise created by the elephants upstairs. Stomping around late at night and making noise, yet if guests make noise the sign says they must leave with no refund. Hardly seems fair. Nonetheless, highly recommend.
