Stunning place! Looks like a painting. I highly recommend coming here. For a picnic. Great for hiking and beautiful pictures. A lot of wildlife. Great for children too to have fun.

This lake is a perfect place for a hike and just a short walk. You can get there with your car, leave it on the parking and then go into the nature. We went there in winter when the lake was frozen and everywhere around us was a lot of snow. But if the sun is shining even with snow the place looks amazing. You can walk through the frozen lake if the ice is hard enough and enjoy the views. With the help of sun the snow looks like covered in a lot of small diamonds. Just amazing. Also the mountains around are a great addition to the beautiful landscape. We saw a lot of people with snowshoes most probably going for a longer hike. We talk just a small circle across the lake and make it just with trekking shoes. There were also people with dogs there
I really love the place, it’s very romantic, charming, silent, very good for family walking around 2 lakes, have parking, toilet and restaurant. For the entrance the price 4 EUR/ per car. Very good weather and beautiful. I really enjoyed the view. I took the car from Velden, Carinthia, in Austria, we drove from here around 30 Minutes.

Beautiful lakes, there are two - upper and lower. Wonderful nature. Many walking paths, in between many different places with benches for rest. A great destination for walking, biking and relaxing. Beautiful views of the mountains. Nicely arranged and clean. Very clean and tidy toilets. Suitable for families, even with young children. There is a nice bar at the lake below with great views of the lake and Mangart.
