To be honest I read the reviews before and hesitated a little bit. I didn't find it hard to use the stairs even with a heavy luggage. It's really easy to use their system (just follow the steps shown on the monitor and pay with your credit card in the end) and the prices are clearly stated on their website/at the location. I paid 12 Euros for the MAXI storage for 4 hours. It's the best price in Rome. There are no hidden fees or conditions. Just be careful to lock the storage after you take your luggage, otherwise you will have to pay 30 Euros. Use their services with trust - they are extra safe and extra cheap.

I don’t think we would have been able to see all that we did and explore as much if we had our bags with us! So worth the money! It was in a good area as well so I felt comfortable locking my bags up there! I would definitely do it again! More cities need to have this concept!

As a first time bag store user and after struggling at a nearby outlet where the instructions were impossible to understand, resulting in us leaving in frustration, we came across 'stow your bags' and were delighted with the ease with which we were able to leave our bags whilst we toured the vatican. It was also cheaper than the other place.

NB, you CAN'T open it after it's closed just to leave more belonging or pick something up that you have forgotten. Once it's locked you will only be able to open it again to take everything. Great location, it's right next to the Vatican. Very straight forward. Definitely best to book in advance in case they don't have any left. We spent 15GBP for one large locker for 6 hours. We had 3 people storing 3 large rucksacks (in a large locker) with room for 2 more. I would recommend.

Plus points. - only one of its kind in the vicinity of via germanico - simple to operate system and it works ! - allows for reopening of lockers Not so plus points - expensive and it is rather uncompromising. If you are late for just 1 minute, extra charges apply instantly - steps to storage makes it difficult for heavy luggage - the so called large lockers can really only fit one large. - the system randomly selects lockers for you. So if you have a very heavy luggage and the system selects a top level locker, well good luck.
