Still I Rise is a non-governmental organization founded in May 2018. Our organization’s headquarters is in Rome, and we are currently operating in Italy, Greece and Turkey. Our mission is to provide education to refugee children, ensuring their personal and social development and facilitating their immediate and future schooling. Still I Rise is entirely independent and apolitical. We do not accept funds from governments, the European Union, the United Nations or other large organizations. The very existence of our mission relies entirely on private donations from individuals and groups who believe in our work and provide input into exact use of their money. We abide not by the interests of the powerful but by the needs of the people we serve. Our operations are run by an ensemble of professionals and highly qualified, highly motivated volunteers. In each country that we operate, we have local and international volunteers and full-time staff, all of whom are asked to bring to the projects their skills, creativity and knowledge to improve our work on the ground.
