In 1985, It has specialized in cinema TV production. The movies mainly include documentaries of nature, history, ethnology, and social, and they have been made in every part of the world, both with negative film or digital, directed by Alessandro Cavalletti. The flexibility of the operating structure allows to manufacture products in complex environmental situations. Many documentaries have been produced with the aid of the schooner (of 18 meter) which it allowed - until 1999 - surface and underwater shooting in areas with the limits and considered at risk. Since 2002 the marine and underwater recovery activities are carried out with the new boat, the catamaran Arawa (28 x 11 meter), with the editing room Avid, ROV Prometeo to shoot up to 200 meters in HD and a two-seat commuter floatplane for aerial shots. Throughout its activities, the Arawa S.r.l got repeatedly awards at the International Film Show “The Nature”, “the Man and his Environment" and in the “International Film festival of Nature and Environment.” It also contributed to the discovery of new species of animals, such as l’Arawella Alessandri, the Raptalodonte Ardua and l’Aequinoctiella Cavalletti. Most of the works were realized for RAI; many of the documentaries have received the "Quality Award" by the competent authorities. The company, based in Rome, provides pre-and post-production and has two editing rooms: AVID Sinphony, AVID Sinphony Nitris HD and of a helicopter R22 f for aerial shots and of a 4k drone.
