This is exactly what I was hoping for when visiting Napoli for the first time. I loved everything at l’Europeo. I loved the traditional food, I loved the decoration, the traditional musicians and the fact that everyone seemed to be Italian. I felt like I had found a little local gem. The staff is really kind. I just loved the atmosphere. So much I went twice in a week.

Nice place with the spirit of Napoli, good quality food but EXAGGERATEDLY highly priced. The owner and the waiters were so kind, we got offered an appetizer to endure hunger waiting our turn to be seated. But nothing is for free; as a matter of fact, all the kindness was to justify the highly marked-up prices and after a theatrical generous discount, we ended up paying 60 for a shared entrée, a shared main dish and a shared dessert. Ps: We were lucky they had a typical band playing Neapolitan traditional songs at the end of the evening and it was enjoyable.

nice ambiente. The menus were only in Italian, so we had some struggle with it, but the waiter helped us with the translation. It is a bit more expensive than in other restaurants...

This place offers some of the best examples of classic Neapolitan food. We had so many dishes and it was all so good I was only able to get a few photos of the desert at the end; which was also pretty amazing. For starters we were brought their signature peach bellini's made with fresh pureed peaches which I can only decribe as nectar of the gods. For antipasti we tried the stuffed fried zucchini flowers and of course their signature mozzarella, both were exquisite. One of the best dishes we had for our main course was the La Genovese. A pasta dish with a rich complex sauce made of beef and caramelized onions simmered for hours. Another memorable dish was the Zuppa di spolichini with seasonal cannelline beans and very tender octopus rings, which added subtle flavor. For dessert we tried the plate of mixed sorbets encased in the skin or showers from the fruit or nuts they are made from. This has to be one of the my favourite desserts Besides the delicious food the service and attention we received was superb. They treat you like family. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for true Neapolitan dining experience.
