Pretty fast staff... good customer service. Would be even better if they sold envelopes too to make it more convenient for the clientele...but overall good service!

I found several post offices while in Rome, only 2 people were polite and professional. And that was the post office by the Vatican. There was one post office, don't remember where, I found several by accident, with a very large woman, 4 fans on her, spaghetti strap pajamas top, rude. She was so rude. Ends up, that you have to get separate tickets for postcards, letters and stamps. She refused to help me and kept mumbling she doesn't like Americans, in English and Italian. She says, her computer can only do one thing, weigh my letters. I have to get another ticket for stamps and another ticket for postcard stamps. So I get another ticket for each turn, waited over 40 minutes. And there's maybe 4 people in there...waiting. My 2nd ticket gets called. I get the same lady. I asked her why she lied and refused to help me and asked for a supervisor, because I was not going to wait another 40 minutes for a few stamps. She gets up. Never comes back. It was horrible. I asked people sitting next to her for help, all I got was, \get a new ticket\. So I left and found another post office while exploring. That experience wasn't good either. But I finally mailed my stuff. Next day I found the post office by the Vatican. Omgoodness! A lady and a man were so helpful, happy, smiling. So for my 2 week stay, the last 3 times I needed to mail anything, I'd get on the subway for an hour just to use this post office.

Pros: doesn't close early like all the others, close to Vatican/center area, helpful staff, relatively (key word) quickly to do what you need to do Cons: It takes a long time for packages to be delivered, it is not as cheap as the U.S. to send anything internationally, wait times are a bit longer than usual because Post offices aren't just mailing locations, they do other tasks as well
