One of our favorites, we are kind of a fixed fixture there. It seems becoming expensive..

Ciao everyone...I'm visiting my freind n his family . My freind said to me he never tasted ethiopian food. .I found this place on Google. 8 adults 1 child dined at dahlak. As you go in the resturant t looks great with all of ertriean decorations. I look at the menu to see my fav dishes, dohro wat (none there) i try to order kitfo which should be served raw but we ask for cooked ..food arrives with many dishes ordered. I already know that by looking at the injera this is not even close to anything I have seen or tasted in any other resturant espically in ethiopia- I know it's difficult to get traditional teff flour special ingredient that makes it rise , this injera served is not fresh (our national dish . The food is very dissapointing in fact all the dishes served are not even cooked with the basic ingredients of onions garlic n our spices berbere. I'm shaking my head and quite ashamed no taste in the cuisine that I love. This resturant should take pride in Eritrean n ethiopian unique style of taste and serve food that is cooked to our perfection. Please do not think this food is anything like ethiopian food or Eritrean. Decorations are the only authentic style this resturant has to offer. I was born in addis ababa living in uk now. Much respects to my food but this is not how it's cooked or tastes in this resturant. over priced food not friendly service. Owner proud but not in my cusine or culture
