O.P.E.R.A. comes from an authentic admiration for sports and athletes, evolved in the awareness that these latter are first of all individuals with potential, skills and ambitions, which are too often neglected and unexploited. Such awareness generates from the observation, experience and study of athletes' life dynamics. O.P.E.R.A. is built on the belief that athletes are a great resource for the society, that shouldn't be lost focusing on a performance-enhancement approach, but boosted adopting a holistic lifespan perspective. Helping athletes achieve athletic, personal and professional excellence improves the athlete’s odds to have a long and successful life in sport and effectively adjust to the post-career. Alternatively, failure to cope with a transition leads to a crisis that is often followed by negative long-term consequences. O.P.E.R.A exists to limit these consequences and improve athletes' life.
