I visited Pompeii right after the quarantena ended and tourism had not yet begun. The city was eerily lovely in the silence of the afternoon, just me and the birds visiting that day! But the best part was my tour guide Raffaele, who has a Ph.D. in archaeology and knows the intricacies of the place like the back of his hand. He spoke about Pompeii with such knowledge and love that the city came alive for me...it was like we had stepped back in time and were shopping in the bakeries and drinking in the bars, stopping to chat in the main square while the carts laden with goods rolled up the hill from the sea. I am so so glad to have met you Raf, because you made my experience into an unforgettable memory. Thank you for this day!

One of the best tours we ever had, and we travel a lot. Raffaele was informative, fun and kept our attention alive for the entire walking tour in the narrow alleys and streets of Napoli. He manages to transpire love for this amazing city and you end up loving the place too. Absolutely recommended, an excellent guide with a very good English, that is something rare around. Not to miss in Napoli, it was our best experience.
Took this tour virtually and was not disappointed. Raffaele presented the tour in the context of the history from the Greek period through to present day. He demonstrated with passion the modern day Naples in this context and this made the tour incredibly enjoyable. His passion shone through and enthused all of attending the virtual tour. Raffaele's style and knowledge has demonstrated that Naples is a must-see and as soon as we are physically able to go, Naples is a definite visit with Raffaele as the guide!
Our tour was amazing and Raffaele really knows his stuff. In my opinion he is quickly becoming the authority on many aspects of Pompei. We highly recommend him for his pleasant personality and expertise.
