A piece of Indian history unexpectedly nestled in a quaint and serene corner of the vast Cascine with the bridge of the same name in the backdrop. The bust of Maharaja Rajaram of Kolhapur displays excellent craftsmanship and feels being comfortable in the chhatri it is housed in. Nevertheless, the spot has begun to show signs of apathy and vandalism. It would be good if the Indian embassy adopts it's upkeep. A must visit for all Indian visitors.

Proud to see statue of on Indian prince in Italy. But be prepared to walk a lot if you are using public transport. The statue is at end of park. It's easily 50 minutes walk from Tram station SAN DONATO via big park or 30 minutes walk from Tram station GUIDONI via florence roads. Enjoy nice walk to the statue. :)

Discovered this monument of Chhatrapati Rajaram Maharaj of Kolhapur with the help of Google Earth today on dt.17/06/2019.Rajaram College,Kolhapur has been in his name since 1880,&I was student of this College from 1964to1966.Pleased very much,indeed, to see the monument.My name is Shri Vishwas Pandurang Kulkarni.My father Late Professor P.N.Kulkarni retired from the College in 1980.He was Professor in Marathi.
