Mais uma das belezas de Siena Muito antiga me pareceu mal conservada , porém bem antiga e dentro dela mais ao fundo em uma capela tem uma pintura famosa de Ambrogio Lorenzetti

Fondata nel 1258 subì un incendio nel 1747 è un radicale intervento architettonico fa parte di Luigi Vanvitelli nel 1755. Recenti interventi di restauro hanno riportato alla luce alcune preziose testimonianze dei numerosi interventi decorativi nel corso dei secoli, come la Cappella Bichi, con la volta di Luca Signorelli e con le splendide pareti laterali con affreschi monocromi di Francesco di Giorgio Martini. Sulla parete destra una porta conduce nella Cappella Piccolomini con una grande lunetta ad affresco di Ambrogio Lorenzetti con una Madonna in maestà.
