On the surface the appearance is of a well organised group, in reality apart from the knowledge about how to manage a canoe and how to paddle, and a couple of chatty young men and a girl, the substance is not there. The maintenance on the equipment is non existent, the back of my seat could not stand up as a vital screw to hold the supporting strap was missing; the canoes are just used and neither maintained nor cleaned. Concerning the excursion the canyon proper is composed of 3 stretches, the excursion covers only one of them and when asked the group leader, a girl, said that the canyon further up was blocked by trees taken by the river. That is not true as a local group doing the same excursion goes up at least for 2 stretches and when the level of the lake is high, up the whole 3 stretches. Concerning local geography and topography the group leader was confusing San Rocco which is a little church along the canyon with San Romedio which is about 15 km away and is nowhere near the canyon. Concerning the sandwich at the end of the excursIon, the slices of speck and of cheese are transparent!!! And they sell that as a plus, it makes me laugh.

This is a very unique experience, as most canyons don't have enough water in them to allow people to kayak through. A lot of work rowing to and from, but well worth it. The view was amazing. My adult children and my husband and I loved it. They even fed us at the end of the trip!
