I had no idea it was there or that it existed. I have never seen a more stunning sculpture park. Most such things would place a bunch of sculptures in a garden - it might be a beautiful garden and there might be beautiful sculptures, but what is the relationship between the two? Here, it's hard to say whether the sculpture existed first and then the quarry was excavated in order to reveal them, or the quarry was excavated and then the sculpture was installed. Not that Italy doesn't have plenty to offer, but for me, the park would be worth the visit by itself.

Un luogo pazzesco, indimenticabile. La materia che tende verso il cielo per cercare di librarsi. Una cava che fa da scenario alle sculture incredibili di Antonio Paradiso. Imperdibile.

Posto splendido dove fruire le sculture di Paradiso in un contesto naturale dal fortissimo impatto. Una cava museo, dove la pietra diventa un invito al volo. Assolutamente un luogo da non perdere durante una visita a Matera. Il cancello è aperto.
