Experienced the New Years Eve set menu. It was simply great: Each dish was cooked to perfection. I especially liked how bold the approach to the cooking was: No subtleties. Each dish walked the tightrope of assertive tastes (unusual in Italy) and elaborate fine-dining cooking techniques. The effort and skill put to each dish was so evident, no shortcuts taken. This is a small local bistro mind you! Taking this approach could easily end up in a disaster. Instead, it was a meal to remember.
