CTM Onlus is a voluntary association and international cooperation NGO born in Lecce in 1985. CTM is committed in to the promotion of cooperation and international solidarity in the South of the World and Eastern Europe. The actions of the association are aimed at reducing poverty and improving living conditions of the poorest people. CTM has chosen to support projects agreed with local organizations and associations that can represent the interests of the communities targeted for intervention and to promote participation, democratization, human rights and environmental protection, particularly in the areas of literacy, vocational training, agriculture, environment, local crafts, health and social services. CTM carries out social development projects to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged groups such as disabled, women, children and Palestinian refugees, through various programs of inclusion and integration. During almost thirty years of working CTM Onlus has built, rehabilitated and re-equipped hospitals, social centers, centers for support and physiotherapy for disabled, clinic for gynecological care and psychological support, educational centers for children, as well as a modern mills for the olive oil sector. CTM implements training courses to promote socio-economic integration of the beneficiaries, training for the strengthening of educational services and develops psychosocial support activities. Raises public awareness through the promotion of a culture of human rights. Since 2003, with the new management of CTM Onlus, Lebanon becomes the country in which it focuses the main activities.
