On a mountain overlooking the Baganza Valley, Le Spine in Berceto is a b&b/craft beer pub located on a section of the Via Francigena (a historic pilgrimage path). With five taps and a variety of bottled ales, I'd say it's worth a visit if you've got mobility because the views on the terrace are incredible, and their locally sourced grub is pretty good too. Being so out of the way, a lot of the non-local traffic they see are people making their way down the Via Francigena or bikers taking crazy high-speed turns on the Cisa. They had this kolsch on tap from Turris Birra in Borgotaro (PR), "Primo Taglio," that I enjoyed a lot. Owners are knowledgeable and gracious hosts.

Amazing find. We were on our way to Milan through the mountains when we wanted a good coffee to continue our drive. Found this cosy place. Lots of bikers were stopped there. The views from the back are amazing. Very relaxing view of the mountains and valleys. You can just sit down and relax and forget about your tiring journey. The coffee, the best part, was amazing. Really gave us a kick. And to my amazement was very cheap (I live in UK :)). I got double shot espresso with milk, costed 2 and cappuccino costed 1.5. The owners are very friendly people and speak perfect English. The place is new built and neat and clean. Toilets are clean too. Would definitely recommend.
Craft beer on Via Francegena, perfect! ;)
Oggi, dopo un lungo periodo di blocco forzato la mia compagna ed io ci siamo trovati a viaggiare e ci siamo fermati in questo bellissimo locale che ha appena potuto riaprire dopo il lockdown. I proprietari sono davvero gentili, il panorama è da cartolina e i posti a sedere all'esterno sono comodissimi. Insieme a loro c'erano anche gatti e un cane- ben educati e affettuosi. Servono birre artigianali da aziende della zona: il ragazzo sa il fatto suo e sa consigliare bene nella scelta. Da mangiare hanno panini o taglieri, tutti con prodotti di aziende agricole locali (compresi formaggi di capra che vengono da una cascina distante poche centinaia di metri). Insomma, per ricominciare a godersi il viaggio e il mangiare in giro non saremmo potuti cascar meglio. Federica e Tommaso
Posto molto bello e personale gentilissimo per noi motociclisti TOP!
È il pub che frequento con i miei colleghi motociclisti per i nostri Apericisa dopo lavoro. Una scelta di birre artigianali vasta e sempre varia...per me, sono celiaco, offrono un sidro buono. Peccato che non tengano almeno una birretta senza glutine.
