**this is not the location to get the lake Maggiore express** you need to buy tickets and also board the boat at the \Associazione Turistica Pro Loco di Stresa\ which is very near the town hall. We were told this on arrival and so missed the boat entirely.

Avevamo letto che per il periodo invernale non si sarebbero potute visitare le isole, invece arrivati lì c'erano alcuni signori che facevano i giri con il traghetto e ci hanno portato all'Isola dei Pescatori. C'era anche la possibilità di visitare l'Isola Bella ma non ci siamo andati. I traghetti partono ogni ora. Bell'esperienza!
