This was the best thing we experienced in Venice. We went to Kartaruga for a family mask making workshop. Francisca was kind and patient with our children. She did not rush them and gave them ideas on how to decorate their masks. I would totally recommend her business for other families looking for a family friendly activity in Venice rooted in tradition. If you book, make sure to book after 10am, this is the time they officially open. If it is earlier than that confirm time a day or two prior to your visit. It may change.

Absolutely beautiful masks classic and some incredible fantasy masks, sign up to make your own mask. Francesca is perfectly delightful. Going to a ball for Carnevale, Francesca can set you up with the perfect mask. They design their masks as is evident from the workshop. Franco here shown in the workshop.

This is where we bought our masks for Carnivale, and we were not disappointed! The store is beautiful, and has one of the widest varieties of masks that you can find. It is so easy to stumble upon small vendors that manufacture the same masks not even made in Italy - but if you are looking for a souvenir and something to wear for a lifetime, go here! We enjoyed knowing they were handmade, and that you could see where they work on the masks in the store itself! Staff was friendly, and very helpful as well.

An amazing place! I did some research and discovered that they are the creators of the most important masks in Kubrick's "Eyes Wide Shut". I wanted to know this place just because of that, and it was a great experience. They make amazing masks! I purchased three of them. The sellers are very nice and amiable. (: I really recommend to visit this boutique. All the way.
