As a student who attended this school between 2003 and 2017, I find myself well-qualified to give an objective review. Starting with the advantages, it must be said that this school is one-of-a-kind in offering a English-language education in Italy – virtually zero schools in this country offer the IB Programme to both Primary and Secondary School students. It was here that I could start as a four-year-old and finish with the IB Diploma. The learning environment cannot be rivalled; I've had the luxury of working in classes of five students (sometimes in classes of one for the final years), with teachers that gave me all of the support that I needed to excel and to apply to prestigious universities such as Cambridge or Karolinska. The facilities and the events organised are also astonishing and will help children of all ages grow and develop. However, I can't give five stars to this school for a simple reason – it is impossible to satisfy everyone. Whereas I was immensely happy with my time at this school, not everybody will. For example, it must be said that the small classes of the upper years makes finding true friends difficult. Also, the fact that the steep school fees are not subsidised by the Italian government is another challenge. Overall, I can confidently say that this was the best education I could have, but it may not be so for everybody. What we can be certain of is that the school will continue to grow and develop in the coming years, hence one day it might appeal to many more students.
