Awesome beach near france border, beautiful weather and Sea View

LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER... Me and my partner visited a couple of years ago. We were just reminsicing about the pasta dish we ordered and wondered if anyone could help us. My partner is a huge seafood lover and order the fruits de mer pasta. When it arrived, it looked wonderful. Prawns, clams etc. As she dug in, much to both of our horrors, there were animals that we could only describe as giant woodlouse, deep fried in the pasta. I don't speak Italian and didn't want to make a fuss but she ended up sharing my lunch instead. Still to this day we have no idea what they are and we still laugh about it now. Wehave googled all types of Isopod and all seem too large. Is this a normal thing for this part of Italy? We will never, ever forget. Otherwise food was good, music good, drinks expensive and beach is burning hot rocks at midday. We enjoyed though. Brilliant beach with a great selection of seating areas, changing rooms, a hot tub and a bar. The only reason it isn't 5 star is that the beach area was a little small and I imagine in the height of summer will be too busy!

Very cool place for an afternoon lounge and drink. Visited with family. Will certainly come back.
