It's a noisy place, unfortunately a lot of cars pass below of the rooms. Nevertheless, service is great. Personal is very nicely. The Hotel is clean, beautiful. The best is the buffet, OMG is fantastic. Is a great option in Napoli
Californian review: The good: Interior of the hotel is very memorable and classical. Our stay included free buffet-style breakfast every morning from 700am-1000am which includes an espresso and/or cappuccino! Staff here are welcoming and professional. Discount on entrance fee to Catacombes of San Gennaro located close by to hotel. Free WiFi is good. The bad: location location location...this place is not near any of the major tourist attractions except for Catacombes of San Gennaro which I will say is hands down a must see if you are in Naploli. If you want to walk to Napoli central just head down the main road. About 15 mins and you will be near the Archeological museum. The ugly: 24/7 noise pollution from passing planes, trains and automobiles. OK, not trains per se but still. Hot water in your shower took 45 mins for it to be hot. My guess is that winter weather causes water pipes to stay cold. Food options are scarce so be prepared to pack lots of snacks If you dont mind walking up and down a hill, this place is a worthy suggestion.
I have to be honest, I read some reviews and I thought: 'What have we gotten ourselves into?'. After the stressful introduction to Napolitan traffic we found the hotel, which is indeed literally next to a busy road, no pavement in between, and checked in. Our room was enormous, with good air-conditioning, a big bed and enough space to relax or play games. Francesco from reception was incredibly helpful. The breakfast buffet was amazing (there were sufficient lactose free options, too!) and the coffee was great. The hotel itself looks a bit worn out and the bar didn't have most beers in stock which was disappointing, but all in all, it's a great hotel that I wouldn't mind returning to.
Old style, nice people, good breakfast
Location wasn't great without your own transport. It was a fair way in to the centre. The front door opened straight on to a busy road. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable but not special. The bar was very Fawlty Towers. Excellent breakfast selection including SOYA MILK!!
Visited here for the start of an interrail trip round various cities in Italy, by far the best! Breakfast was absolutely fabulous, lots of options to choose from, even had soya milk along with 2 other types of milk! Lots of fruit on offer and even fresh honeycomb! Staff were very friendly and helpful, big clean room with high ceilings, big en suite bathroom and good aircon! Only problem was the hotel is a little dated and the main door literally steps out onto a main road.
Receptionist was very helpful and bubbly, great service. Massive rooms and comfortable bed. Very clean. Good breakfast.
