Completely convenient motor boat rental service, with friendly staff based in hotel Ghiffa. We were in our boat in about 10 minutes, starting a two hour hire (for which the only additional charge is fuel used - this was EUR 20 for us for the two hours). The boat itself was modern and capable of about 35 km/h, which was plenty of speed to get down to the main islands off Stresa in about 20 minutes, if you get on with it, as we found when coming back! This is good news, because if you tie up at a buoy belonging to one of the restaurants - the east coast of Isola Superiore looked particularly good for this - a tender will soon come out to bring you to shore for a lovely lunch. This is very much recommended if you have two hours or longer, it was a great experience. If you have a full day, you could perhaps wander up to Switzerland for lunch. All in all, I strongly recommend this and we will probably be back. Don't be put off by a lack of experience, the lake is enormous and you would have to try pretty hard to hit something.

Fantastic experience! We rented a scooter (a Vespa 125cc) which was so much fun to ride I - almost - considered trading in my motorcycle for one. Though you do need a license, the manager didn't lie when he said it was \come una bicicletta\ - albeit one that goes 80 km/h without any trouble. The trajectory given to us by the local manager (in the Cannobio office) was simple to follow and had some amazing views, both in Piemonte (It) and Switserland. Afterwards we had plenty of time to ride to Intra and back following the lakeside road.

Op prachtige plekken geweest met de gehuurde Vespa's! De 125cc loopt perfect in de bergen! Is zeker de moeite waard!!

Super leuke activiteit! Vraag achter een route aan de uitbater, zeker de moeite - via de bergdorpjes over zwitserland terug naar de vertrekplaats. Onderweg fantastische panoramas en leuke goedkope authentieke restaurantjes. De Scooters zijn top met ABS en airco ;)
