Amazingly done gardens. You can actually feel the difference in the air inbetween the different simulated botanical zones. Despite the heat walking around was very comfy because most of the paths are in the shadows. My highlight was the garden for people in love. Beautiful combination of art and flowers. Also the two viewpoints that are in the gardens are very well worth the walk up there. There are also a few animals to see. The voliere was especially nice. Understandably a few attractions are closed because of covid - still a shame - but entrance fees for 2020 were lowered because of it.

Very well done garden, covering five continents. The museum is Tirol-centric, but no surprise there, a good pegagogical foundation for the area. Excellent!
Nestled on the slopes of breathtaking alpine valley bathed in late November sunshine this felt like a garden of Eden. Gardens around old castle are designed and created in such fashions that there’s always something wonderful to watch or to be surprised by around next corner. For us it’s been good 3 hours we enjoyed there walking all of the possible routes. We didn’t miss the the high view bridges though - in my case I also didn’t miss the vertigo they brought. My family and I paid a visit to the castle at the end of November because our parents were eager to see a temporary exhibit: killer plants and the green carnivores. They were not disappointed !! We’re not “Vegetal-World Savvy” but every tree, garden and flower is labeled and plenty of info is provided on the different species. You can admire an incredible variety of gardens and birds in a 12-hectare amphitheater. It is not just a botanical Gary, but a recreational attraction as well: there is a cafe, a restaurant, different activities to do, an outstanding museum (The South Tyrol Museum Of Tourism). Everything incredibly well-kept, curated in every detail, everywhere a pleasant smell How do we get there? We spent over three hours here .There are regular buses from the town centre to the gardens. The ticket prices are reasonable considering the size of the gardens. There is a huge variety of different themed gardens. All signs are in German, Italian and English. You can climb up to a viewing platform that has great views over the gardens and the surrounding area. The cafe by the pond is quite good but isn't particularly big so there could be a wait for tables in high season. Make sure you don't miss the iguana in the glasshouse! The castle is well signposted, we decided to stroll along the Sissi Path, which led us in a 30 minute walk from our hotel in Maya Alta. It is not too steep a footpath, easily to walk on even for children or elderly people
It’s just a MUST Visit in Meran! I will definitely come back again!!
We had a wonderful day here. The park is big enough to spend all day long exploring it's gardens. Thanks to signs it is pretty clear which plants are to touch, smell or just to watch and there are a lot of them- from cactus to usual garden plants. The walkways are cleaned well and there are also attractions to have fun on your walk by or challenge your knowledge. All in all a great visit for both young and old
