Marta in Venice This 14th century church, located on the western-most boundary of Venice, was deconsecrated in 1811, later used as a warehouse and progressively fell into disrepair. It is the only area in Venice, other than Piazzale Roma, which is accessible by car. As part of the project for improving the Venice's port waterfront, the former church was completely renovated and now serves as a conference and exhibition venue.
