At the time of my visit (Dec 2019-Jan 2020) the building was under construction but there wasn’t really any direction to where to go for entry. I hope it’s been fixed but make sure to purchase your ticket online (make sure to learn how to navigate the page) because you might be stuck waiting in a long line to speak with an attendee for a ticket. Also, make sure to be there for your time with ample time prior that way you can figure out what rail entry is yours. Otherwise you might find yourself missing your train. Good luck.

I was at FIRENZE on 31st October 2020 all the way from Milan to participate in a #ENDSARS protest, here are some of the pictures I took ,I also interviewed an Italian lady who stood in solidarity with the Nigerians. You can also see the videos on my YouTube channel Critics News or Critics Gist. My Instagram Handle is @criticsnews1. Its a great city

Plenty of self service automatic ticket machines. Easy access to and from the platforms. Plenty of fast food venues in and around the station. Be careful to watch when your train is departing because the platform numbers can change very quickly; we only had a couple of minutes to get onto a train after the platform details for the displayed. A rather plain nondescript station which is more practical than beautiful.

A very nice station. We travelled with an Interrail Pass, which requires some attention for making reservations (we only had a paper pass, buy online if you have the time so you can make reservations online) on the very handy high speed trains throughout Italy. The train ticket salesperson was very proficient in making our reservations to Milan and onwards to Switzerland. The train station building is a very fine example of Italian modernistic architecture. You can also see this on the interior, including large glass windows, an era typical fresco and the details in the letter font. The post-Covid organisation was good and felt safe. It is in walking distance from the center of town.
