Very interesting family run small restaurant among the alleys of the old center of Mazara (the "Kasbah"), very picturesque location. Of course the best cous-cous I ever ate. They are specialized in traditional tunisian dishes. Very good prices. Recommended.

We've eaten here twice. There is so much to like about it but the service is excessively bad. We generally like places where the service is no frills but we tried to get dessert on both occasions and it never came. After long waits we just paid and left. There wasn't a single opportunity to ask the staff about it (and it was pretty obvious that we would just be annoying them if we did). Might sound like a minor issue but it's indicative of the general experience in a way you'll probably understand once you've been.

Very good Tunisian restaurant. We took the cous cous, it was very tasty, flavoured and spicy (a bit too much maybe). The service was fast.

Try meat couscous (better if you make a reservation, especially in summer for place&meat) and complete the meal with dark or mint tea and typical pastries. Price . Even takeaway.
