We have rented a car from them in Italy a month ago. We purchased the full coverage insurance through Rental Cars and provided the policy to their employee during the time of booking. He said everything was good and gave us the contract to sign (it was in italian) when we asked what the fees were for he told us that it was a deposit and that the full sum will be refunded to us once we bring back the car, so we signed it. It turns out we signed for a 600 insurance of their own and not a deposit at all!! We have contacted Europcar and explained them that we already had insurance and it doesn’t make sense for us to buy or pay for another one, but they told us since we signed the contract they cannot do anything about it. Even though logically thinking it doesn’t make any sense why would we want to pay for the insurance twice?? I bet their employees get bonuses for signing extras and insurances so he took advantage of us not knowing the language and ripped us off. We trusted your employees word and he took advantage of us. Shame on you and your business model! We will be contacting our legal team and Federal Trade Commission to fight this claim. Never doing business with them ever again, and I strongly advise for you not to do it too. If you do record the full conversation for proof and do not trust a word of their employees are saying to you!
Very slow, waited over over an hour while they helped on customer in front of me even though we had a reservation. Worst customer service I’ve ever seen at a rental car store.
