The Italian EAGE-SEG Section is the meeting point for Italian applied geophysicists that are EAGE or SEG members, or that like receiving information about Italian geophysical activities. Membership is free, and it can be applied online or sending the application form (PDF format) by fax or mail to the Section Secretariat. The Section goal is promoting geophysical science, the training and professional update of its members. Particular attention is devoted to Applied Geophysics for environment protection, mining, civil engineering, cultural heritage and archaeology, search for energy sources, reservoir study and modeling, hydrology. The Section is a no-profit association, officially recognized by EAGE and SEG as joint Italian reference. Its activity is carried out by technical meetings and workshops, basic or specialized courses, search for technical and scientific personnel, Internet information, and ideas exchange in various forms.
