Contrada Arciprete is a small family run Bed & Breakfast set in the countryside in the heart of Salento, Puglia. We are surrounded by secular olive groves, vineyards and various fruit and nut trees. Contrada Arciprete is situated only 18 miles from Brindisi Airport of Salento (BDS) which provides an ideal base for those seeking to wind-down and relax or for those wanting to explore the heel of Italy pugliauncovered. Low cost Ryanair amongst others provide flights from London Stansted , Bergamo al Serio (Milano), Pisa, Bologna, Torino, Treviso, Barcellona, Bruxelles, Eindhoven and Billund. Our excellent position is perfect for exploring the pretty countryside and the beautiful unspoilt coastline (800km) of which you have a choice of two, the Adriatic or the Ionian. There are plenty of harbours and sandy beaches for those wanting to dip into the crystal clear waters. Close by there are the historic towns and cities of Manduria, famous for the Primitivo wine, which is second to none. Lecce, commonly known as “the Florence of the south” because of its rich Baroque architectural monuments found in the city. Martina Franca, has a beautiful “old city” which holds the annual summer opera festival, the festival della valle d’Itria. Alberobello, is a small town famous for its unique “trulli” cone shaped construction which is part of UNESCO world heritage, all within easy driving distance.
