My passport went missing in Palermo. Had to get to Rome to get a travel document and was never so happy to be Canadian. The Consulate staff went above and beyond while getting all of my information together. It was an inspiring experience. Thank you, Consulate staff!

We need to learn sth but they don’t answer the mails, it’s irresponsibility.
My friends passport got damage. Took cab embassy to get help. Told we needed to go to Consulate. Gave us a card then said they are closed. I asked to come in to call a cab. He said NO even thought they were open. I asked if he could call us a cab. Was told No , to go up the street and find one. We were followed by a beggar. Needless to say We had to go on our 1st tour. After massive amounts of calls/paperwork with passport office had to be done in Vancouver / 4 guarantors. She still has not gotten help. She left our tour early Hoping to get before we need to fly to Eastern Europe for the second part of out trip. I am horrified as a Canadian the way this has unfolded. Luckily she has enough money to pay for hotel/train etc. . We both have been so upset at no help. Also consulte only open 9-12.. God help us as my Home and Native land is failing us. I was naive to think they could just reissue a new one as she has A drivers licence and photo copy of original which she has too but damaged.
I got extraordinary assistance from the consulate staff after I was assaulted and robbed in Rome. I cannot speak more highly of the team at 30 Via Zara. Helpful, compassionate, thorough and dare I say imaginative (which isn't something I would say about most government officials).
I am a Canadian Citizen living in Calgary. I was in Rome in September for vacation and I had to go to the Embassy of Canada for information... As soon as I walked in I felt like I was home. All the staff was gentle and welcoming.
