IT: IL C.S.S. è un Istituto scientifico di ricerca riconosciuto con decreto ministeriale dal MIPAAFT. Lo scopo del Centro Studi Squali è quello di contribuire alla conoscenza degli squali e per diffondere la consapevolezza che è indispensabile agire per proteggerli . Il Centro Studi Squali è ospitato presso l'Aquarium Mondo Marino a Massa Marittima e gestito da "​ Posidonia "​ no -profit Association, un'organizzazione privata che non riceve nessun tipo di finanziamento pubblico e funziona con le entrate dell'Aquarium. Il Centro è stato istituito nel dicembre 2009 e svilupperà le proprie attività in relazione al finanziamento che sarà in grado di attivare per i singoli capitoli di ricerca. Attualmente le attività di tirocinio sono già disponibili per gli studenti nel loro ultimo anno di università. Accordi sono attivi con Università di: Siena, Messina, Calabria, Ancona, Pisa, Firenze, Bologna, Genova, Torino, Roma La Sapienza, La Tuscia Viterbo, Teramo, Ferrara e Trieste in Italia, Tolosa e Parigi VI (Francia). EN: The C.S.S. is a Scientific Research Institut by the Italian MIPAAFT Office. The purpose of the Sharks Studies Center is to help shark awareness and spread the awareness that it is imperative to act to protect them.
