the people who work the information booth are friendly and eager to help albeit limited openning hours. there is however a no ticket booth nor any other personnel, except for the café which is pretty busy and not so helpful. it would be nice if the station was better coordinated with information points and personal - all together in the same lobby - and signage pointing to various attractions and necessary infrastructure to tie it all together both from the town --- and from this station. this is after all a principal stop & city important to tourists and residents of the region and visitors to the island of Sicilia and the country Italia

Good central station. Some English on the tickets machine but generally not bilingual and no attendant there. The trains look ancient.
Nice connection to Palermo or Catania.
Beautiful town, nice sandy beaches, bit crowded (June) and lot of guys selling crazy things and coco bello. But if you walk through the town when sun goes down, you will be amazed by lovely restaurants and shops as much as by lovely views. Definetly worth a visit :)
Fantastic little port town on Northern Sicily about 70kms rest of Palermo. Wonderful beach. Great coffee everywhere. Very cute boutique stores and cobbled streets. I particularly loved the old town with the Grand cathedral. It was amazing and it's a beautiful charming city.
