It combines different styles from different periods of time! The fresco of Achiropita which is the oldest part of the cathedral is amazing! Totally worth visiting while visiting the historical centre of Rossano!

We visited the Duomo and Museology Diocesano E Dell Codex in the beautiful village of Rossano last week. It was First Holy Communion Day so the church was busy with excited Italian Families. We toured the museum but unfortunately the guide spoke in Italian so we missed some of the detail. I would recommend this trip.

Nel cuore di Rossano c'è questa perla dell'arte con adiacente il meraviglioso Museo del Codex Purpureus patrimonio Unesco e unico al mondo per lo stato conservativo e la completezza. Assolutamente da vedere!

ATTENZIONE! PER NESSUN MOTIVO ANDARE A MANGIARE NEL NEGOZIETTO ORTOFRUTTA DI FRONTE ALLA CHIESA, ANCHE SE ISPIRA AUTENTICITÀ: tipico esempio di speculazione a danno dei turisti locali e di conseguenza della cittadina.
