Good 10 minute walk to the town centre. Lots of bus, train and taxi services. No beach nearby that we could find anyway. Sorry but I am very disappointed with Catania. It's our last day. There are some nice landmarks but the town itself is scruffy, smelly and unfriendly. Italy and Sicily are definitely off our return list. No bins. Rubbish everywhere and it's the locals not the tourists!! And have they ever heard of parking or an Mot!!
