Ruined Medieval castle overlooking Bosa and the river built by the Malaspina (“bad thorn”) family in the 12th century. Great views of the sea and countryside. The chapel inside houses gorgeous frescoes from the 14th century.

It is a very beautiful castle that overlooks the entire town. Although it is now declined, it allows you to imagine a castle that once flourished. There is a beautiful fresco in the castle church. I was a little disappointed that I could not climb the tower in the castle. I think it would be nice to be able to go up to the tower with more careful management.
If it were not for the murals inside the castle church, this place would get a straight one. The towers closed, garden poorly maintained and no lavatories. Also some visitors didn't understand the direction they should follow and were going wrong way.
They charged 4 for entrance even though the two towers were closed off, a pavilion is decaying, two water taps do not work, there are no toilets. It makes you wonder where does the money from entrance fees go? Nice views, but have same view near the castle for free.
Beautiful view of bosa and it’s river, very small, quick and easy castle to get around to learn some history or get some great holiday snaps!
