It is a very beautiful and elegant casino. It really feels like you're gambling in a James Bond movie. The gambling areas are not that big compared to Las Vegas or Atlantic City, but huge compared to the typical slot machine/video lottery places across Italy. There were the standard slot machines and table games. All the blackjack tables used continuous shuffle machines which some people don't trust/like, so just a heads-up. They will ask for your ID no matter how old you look. A driver's license (even foreign) or passport will do. It was certainly cool and nice looking to walk through but the vibe was very relaxed and calm. Not what I've come to expect from casinos in other places, where people usually holler when they win big or slam the table if they lose. The dress code was more lax than I'd expect on a Saturday night around midnight. It seemed like any collared shirt and some kind of pants would get you in (for men).

The worst casino ever, the building itself is beautiful and full of history, but as soon as you walked in there, start from their security, front desk to the staff at slots machine room, everyone gave you the look like you definitely own them millions dollars, the cashier from upstairs was extremely rude to me when I went there and try to explain the slot machine got stuck, I normally don’t say anything but He kinda yelled and told me to wait without any eye contact at the mean time I saw there were five of them behind the counter, REALLY, So I told him you are being so rude and the other staff were just laughing. Me and my husband stayed in Venice for our honeymoon and we though visiting the oldest casino would be a cool experience but it turned out their rude staff just ruined our day, how wonderful!
Nice place. Very helpful and friendly staff. A little small for a casino but still enough to have fun. The dealers actually helpful in teaching me the game. That was a first. Must visit if you like casinos.
Although Casino di Venezia claims to be the oldest one in the world, it did not physically exist between 1774 and 1959 when it was eventually reopened. Its place of rebirth was Ca’ Vendramin Calergi – a majestic palace on the Grand Canal in Caranreggio in Venice. The building was designed in the late 15th century and finished at the beginning of the 16th century by the architect Mauro Condussi, famous for bringing the classic Renaissance style to Venice. The building was finished for 28 years, which is a relatively short period of time, bearing in mind the technique that was available at the time. The palace has three floors and has direct access to the Grand Canal.
Historic place. Well restored. Very classey. Super staff.
