Amazing experience to go to the top. We went December 2018 and the place was packed with skiiers, but the views were unbeatable. Went all the way to the top, couldn't take the stairs because of the snow but it was still 100% worth the 30 cost for the entire experience. If you're looking for a quick way to experience the Dolomites, do this.

Good way to get to the top of Cortina quickly. There's also a nice long blue run through the trees to get down to the cable car. Very expensive if you haven't got a skipass though. 25 return.

Great start to a great resort. A ride up the Tofana is a ride into the past. Beautiful old school cablecar transporting eager ski and snowboard hounds to the pristine snow covered pastures that this amazing resort has to offer. Upon arrival at the top one is greeted by Olympic history and offered an incredibly relaxing tree-line blue run to warm the legs!

When in Italy, if you say I want a ride in a gondola, the Italians will think you are headed to Venice. When you say you want to ride the tram, they will eventually tell you that you are talking about the funivia. The Tofana funivia rises up from the valley to the one of the highest spots in Cortina. We were skiing at the Tofana ski area which is mainly on the other side of the valley and had skied across the road to get to the tram. We had already seen the dramatic climb the tram makes up the mountain. Unfortunately for us, the weather moved in and the top of the mountain and our breathtaking views were shrouded in clouds. We were occasionally teased with views and sun, but denied the big ticket view we had hoped for. Skiing down was pretty easy as they groom a few runs extremely well. It's another rare spot where you can ski well over a mile of vertical in one run. The Dolomites are a special place and with each passing year, the glaciers are melting away. This area is worth a visit any time of year to take in the drama of the mountains but winter begs for skis here and stepping off from the summit of the tram is a life long memory.
